Where have some of the posts in this thread gone? I was trying to pick up where I left off yesterday and now i'm lost......
I just wanted to reiterate what I said on your sony post Barb.
That I feel FREE!!! I do " the world revolves, I've let it go" thats how I feel now.
But I will always be communicating anyhow anyways because I do believe thats the key to any situation or problem. I cant not speak out about what I think or feel.
Darren Hayes is a great singer. Savage Garden were an awesome band. Beyond that I make no promises about anything else. I think I made the fatal mistake of investing too much of myself into the person of Darren Hayes and my belief etc in him. Its not a good thing to do at all. So I have let all that go and hopefully that will make for a happier music experience.

I'm so stupid
I'm glad it's sorted Ivana, I had the same initial thought as Kat.
Here's to everyone having a happier music experience!
WOW! There have been some fantastic posts since yesterday - I've really enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts!
Steen, as always you are the voice of reason and needless to say, I agree pretty much 100% with you.
Kat, not so much of the 'old bird', ta very much! *lol* Like you, I also feel tremendously free. It's like a weight off of my shoulders and I know that I'm going to be much happier since making that decision.
As for what happened over there, as far as I'm concerned it's over and done with. They've made their position quite clear and I shall abide by that. I'm more than happy to just post on the Sony bbs, the SG one and on here. These boards have served me very well over the past few years and they'll no doubt continue to do so.
Thanks Terry ^_^
<font size="3" face="Tempus sans ITC, Papyrus,Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Exactly, they have flatout told us, in their own guidelines, they don't want to spell it out for us, they expect us to know what they mean in a general sense to apply to all particulars and if we fail to do so, there is going to be no attempts to educate us, there is going to be no warnings or polite asking in advance.Guys, we don't have the full text. If the other party refuses to communicate with us and treat us as people deserving respect and dignity, then I think that Marilu has the right idea. I have to find peace with what I can't change.
No one can say we didn't try to hold up our end of the bargain, that we didn't try to meet them in the middle and have an informative exchange. We did our best and when the ball is in their court and they drop it, that's not our problem.
We want to be accepted for who we are, that's a fundamental human need. But we aren't going to get it from the fanclub so i think we need to think of our own hearts and not worry about their approval anymore. I'm not saying that's easy to do or that our efforts were anything less than reasonable.
But who are they at the end of the day, except for people in charge of a fanclub and a forum? That's all they have control over. They can make us feel unwelcome in those two places but nowhere else. They can't do it here, so they make it so we can't mention here over there - it is an obvious sign they are trying to distance themselves from something they can't control. We are talking about people who are just names on a screen, short words in the rare email or PM, meaningless in comparison to the richness of our own interactions. If we remain truthful to ourselves and each other, we don't need the approval of an outside group.
Let them watch what we say, we aren't saying anything different than when this board started years ago. And they haven't shut the board down, right? The only way they can make us shut up is to make us feel as if our words anywhere that they can find them can be used against us later to their own ends. So do we let them have that power over us? I won't begin to say what is more important for anyone here, for some maybe it IS important to not be judged negatively by the fanclub. But while they won't let us post a link to here, they haven't yet banned any of us. And if they did, well then that's less traffic for them and more time for us to spend here and on the Sony board
wahh i always seem to start rambling this week @_@ LOL
Yes Steen, it matters that we like coming and interacting in this place with our friends thats really all that counts.
*types fast cause I only have 11% left on my laptop* and I'm suppose to be sleeping now surfing the net

The replies on here highlight the understanding and compassion we share for each other and that is the biggest strength of the SOS. I think it was Sharon who asked in another thread what SOS stood for, I always called it Save Our Sanity
